Statutory redundancy calculator: Northern Ireland

Age 22 to 40 · 6 years × 1 wk × £720£4,320.00
Total statutory redundancy pay£10,800
Calculated under ERA 1996 s.162 against the 2026-27 weekly cap of £751.Verify the 2026 Order reference at legislation.gov.uk before quoting in formal correspondence.
Statutory basis
The governing instrument is the ERO (NI) 1996. It uses the same 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 weeks-per-year age-band structure as ERA 1996 s.162. The weekly cap is uprated in parallel with GB. For 2026/27 the cap is £751 a week and the maximum statutory payment is £22,530.
The official NI calculator and guidance live at nidirect.gov.uk. Tribunal claims are heard by the Industrial Tribunal (NI), not the GB Employment Tribunal.
If your employer is insolvent in NI
In Great Britain you claim from the National Insurance Fund via the Insolvency Service. In Northern Ireland the equivalent route is the Department for the Economy (NI) using the RP1 form. The weekly cap on payments from the fund is the same statutory £751.
